Link Logistics Inc.: Privacy Policy
Link Logistics Inc. (the "app") is used by drivers and contractors of LINK LOGISTICS INCORPORATED (the "company") to take monthly photos of their assigned truck and trailer and send them to the company's Maintenance team. It is not offered to the general public: you need an account created by the company.
What we collect
- Account details: your sign-in (email address or mobile number), your name as the company recorded it, and a password you choose. The company's server stores the password only in scrambled (hashed) form.
- Photos you take in the app of the equipment assigned to you, with the time each was taken and the checklist item it belongs to. A photo is kept in the app's private storage on your phone until the company's server confirms it has received it.
- Notes and help requests you choose to write, for example when a photo cannot be taken safely.
- Technical details of your sign-in: a description of your phone's software that the app sends when you sign in, and the network address your phone uses, as any internet service sees.
The app also shows you the truck and trailer assigned to you; company staff entered that information.
The app asks only for access to your camera and to the internet. It does not ask for your location, contacts, microphone or photo library, and it contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or tracking tools.
The app keeps your sign-in and any photos not yet sent in its own private storage on your phone. This version of the app does not allow Android to back that storage up to the cloud or to another phone.
How we use it
To run the company's equipment inspection and maintenance program: to show you your assigned equipment, receive and confirm your photos, let Maintenance review them and ask for a retake, and keep a record of when each inspection was submitted and by whom. The app has no advertising or tracking tools, and your information is not used for those purposes.
Who can see it
Your photos, name, notes and the submission record are held on the company's own server and can be seen by authorized company staff (the Maintenance team and administrators) who are signed in to the company's Maintenance system. The server runs on a hosted machine that the company rents. The app sends your information nowhere else. Photos may show things near the equipment: please do not photograph people.
How long we keep it
Inspection photos are stored for maintenance review and recordkeeping. Automatic photo deletion is currently disabled.
The company also keeps backups of its systems.
Security
The app connects to the company's server only over https; this version of the app refuses plain http addresses.
Your choices
- You can remove the app and its saved photos from your phone at any time. Photos already sent stay with the company.

Children
The app is for adult workers. It is not directed to children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date.
